When Your Speakers Come Back Next Year
Most physics conferences are part of a series. HEPCon was built for that.
ICHEP, EPS-HEP, CHEP, TWEPP, ACAT — each runs every year or every other year. Your speakers come back. Your reviewers come back. Your programme committees overlap. Most conference apps treat each event as an island and then move on. HEPCon does not.
When the same researcher speaks at multiple events on the platform, their person page shows “Also at other events” — every contribution they have given across the series, with role badge and event name. Identity matching uses any stable key the person doc carries: ORCID, INSPIRE-HEP, email, with arXiv / OpenAlex / Scholar wiring on the same path. Tap a row and the cursor flips to the other conference, deep-linked straight to the talk.
Shareable person URLs use the form /p/orcid/0000-0001-1234-5678 — identity-keyed, so they survive across events even when the per-event person doc fragments. See cross-event person resolution →

How HEPCon Ingests Your Indico Programme
HEPCon understands Indico's XML structure natively — categories, sessions, contributions, materials, author lists, and all.
Faithful XML import
Categories, sessions, contributions, breaks, and materials are parsed as-is. The hierarchy is remapped into Today / By Track / By Room / Search views attendees can navigate on a phone.
LaTeX and large author lists
Mathematical notation renders correctly in titles and abstracts. Author lists with 10, 50, or 500 names are fully indexed and searchable — never stripped or garbled.
Delta-based push updates
Update Indico → export XML → HEPCon computes the difference and pushes only the change to attendee devices. Missing rooms or time slots are flagged in the organiser console so you fix them at the source.

Tracks become filter labels. Sessions become time blocks (parallel rooms, plenaries, posters). Contributions become the individual talks attendees bookmark.
Rooms, breaks, and materials
Room names become navigable locations, optionally linked to venue floor plans. Coffee breaks are preserved so attendees see the day's rhythm. Slide and PDF links from Indico surface as "materials" on each talk.
