Most conference apps expect a spreadsheet. HEPCon understands Indico's XML structure natively — categories, sessions, contributions, materials, and all.
We parse the Indico timetable XML, preserving categories, sessions, contributions, breaks, and materials. The hierarchy is then remapped into "Today", "By track", "By room", and "Search" views that attendees can actually navigate on a phone.
Mathematical notation renders correctly in talk titles and abstracts. Author lists with 10, 50, or 500 names are fully indexed and searchable — not truncated or garbled as they are in apps designed for corporate events.
Update the timetable in Indico — that's it. HEPCon re-syncs straight from your event URL, computes the delta, and pushes the change to all attendee devices. Critical updates — room moves, cancellations — can also go out as push notifications.

Indico's hierarchy is powerful for programme committees but opaque to participants. HEPCon maps tracks to filter labels, sessions to time blocks (parallel rooms, plenaries, posters), and contributions to the individual talks and posters attendees select and bookmark.
Room names become navigable locations, optionally linked to venue floor plans. Coffee breaks and lunches are preserved so attendees can see the day's rhythm. Slide and PDF links from Indico are surfaced as "materials" buttons on each talk.
Change the timetable in Indico — HEPCon re-syncs from your event URL, computes the difference, and pushes the updated version to all clients. No exports to generate, no files to send, no programme edited twice.
If a contribution is missing a room or time slot in the Indico export, HEPCon flags it in the organiser console — so you can fix it at the source in Indico before attendees see a gap in the programme.

When the same researcher speaks at multiple events on the platform, their person page shows “Also at other events” — every contribution they have given across the series, with role badge and event name. Identity matching uses any stable key the person doc carries: ORCID, INSPIRE-HEP, email, with arXiv / OpenAlex / Scholar wiring on the same path. Tap a row and the cursor flips to the other conference, deep-linked straight to the talk.
